The meadery started out as a native winery in Long Beach Mississippi in 2021. Out of a love and passion for mead making that grew organically as time went on. Moving to Maryland was just another step in life and the meadery followed as well.
Meeker's Meadery uses local honey and local fruit to produce unique varieties of mead. With varieties of honey including Black Locust, Tulip Poplar, Clover, and Wildflower just to name a few.
The location is still under construction and will remain a small winery for a long time to come. There is no traditional tasting room or tap room, mostly just enough room for making the mead! It's likely to be in the winter 2025 at the earliest that the new mead is ready for tasting, but might need more aging because it will be around 15% ABV.
